Hey Guys ! In my last post I wrote about abuse .. the reason why is because i just finished watching season 2 of thirteen reasons why, there has been a lot of talk that the series was poorly made and a whole bunch of stuff but honestly, I personally feel like its a great series it doesn't just talk about suicide but also drug abuse , alcohol abuse , bullying things that kids are actually going through.. etc

Before I get onto my main point, I’m going to have to give credit where it is due. 13 reasons. was very suspenseful and gripping because each tape wanted to make you see what happened to Hannah Baker next. The acting was good. The characters, were diverse and interesting. The overall story was great too. I’ve seen a lot of criticisms on how the show “romanticists” or “beautifies” suicide, which is extremely untrue. Nothing about the suicide was artful in anyway, it was just an innocent girl slitting her wrists in the bath tub.

In the ending when Hannah went to the school counselor, she was advised to express how she felt, who raped her and what was going through her mind. She wanted to speak up but did none of that .. I really believe if something is happening to you , you need to speak up if you don't speak up no one will ever hear you. Please go to parent, teacher, or friend you trust and let them know whats happening. Do not stay quite about the situation !

I know teenagers are only concerned with what others think of them with what shoes you wear or what clothing brand you wear.. but realistically none of that matters. I know the issues are very real, very important and in fact, deadly serious.

If you haven't watched the series yet , while watching the show remember that whatever your feeling is valid , the series is intense and if your feeling upset about the events depicted your not alone. Do whatever you need for yourself, whether that's talking to a loved one about how you feel or enjoying some time away from your screen. Suicide is serious , if someone you care about is showing warning signs of suicide, take action,Listening non judgmentally and sharing your concern can help them stay safe.

Struggling isn’t weakness. The issues that characters face in the show - including mental illness, bullying, and sexual assault - can happen to anyone. Talking about them, coping with them, and recovering shows immense strength.

There is always hope. If you’re struggling, know that how you’re feeling now isn’t how you’ll feel forever. It’s always still possible to recover and have a full life Lastly and most importantly We’re here for you. Trained Crisis Counselors are ready to support you, 24/7.
